3D Design
Lets start with the vessel design and tooling. Unlike most other builders our boats are designed in house. We don't adapt or build onto someone else's design. We have been using 3D hull design software since 1982. Many of our designs have been validated by Tank Testing at the renowned Stevens Institute in New Jersey. This gives you, the owner, a boat that is as technologically precise as possible. Our focus, or design parameters, are on sea keeping, speed and maneuverability.
These digital design files are then loaded into a very large CNC mill where the various tooling plugs are cut to very tight dimensions. That's the picture below of our 35 LT hull plug being machined.
This is the mill we used at Mollicam Inc. They are located in Merritt Island, Fla.

Another of the benefits of 3D Design is the ability to completely "build and rig" a new design. It allows us to check for fit, interference and access, before we build the molds, and are locked into the design. Our software even lets us look through the boat, it's like x-ray vision, and a big help. Check it out.

The shot below shows the fuel fill and vent line runs, We can even measure the exact lengths of the hoses for our bill of materials with out having the actual boat to measure.

At least twice a week the build crew and management will review the design progress looking for problems that would relate to such things as assembly, service access and manufacturing processes. All of this being done before we build the tooling, much less the boat.
Being able to optimize so many different facets of the design throughout this phase is an extremely powerful tool. That is why this type of design is the de-facto standard in the Aerospace and Defense industries and at Revenge.
